Hello, I’m Alexander. And, I’ve decided to shoot for the moon! All my life I have created stories, characters, and fantastical places that have been my own private retreat from the world. Now, I am working to share my fictitious worlds with the real one.

Regularly posted writing includes: poetry, short stories, and updates on the progress of my longer pieces.

The poetry will be reflective of a millennial’s perspective on the prospects of life. A manifestation of repressed thoughts and emotions, now given a chance to see the harsh light of day.

I approach short stories as a means of expansion and world building. They will be self contained ideas that feed into my larger ambitions.

Currently working on a three part science fiction book series, set far enough in the future where I don’t have to worry about your expectations. Other stories are in the works, but have been sidelined for this triple endeavor.

The goal of the Alleyway Project is to acknowledge lesser appreciated aspects of Chicago neighborhoods. This idea was born from the tendency I have to find myself walking home between 2 and 4 am, noticing buildings, people, and alleyways in a different light (pfft).
